MY ROOTS

From Small Town to Big Business

I was born and raised in St Paul, Alberta (population ~5000). My father was a school teacher and farmer and my mother was a medical radiation technologist for 49 years. Together, they instilled in me values of hard work, integrity and patience. These are the values that I now bring to my business.

I have been helping people with their finances for over 16 years. Since 2010 I have been a licensed financial advisor. The seven years prior, I was a certified tax consultant for one of the largest accounting firms in Canada. This experience gives me a wealth of tax knowledge which is incorporated into all my planning.

MY EDUCATION

I graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Society in 2004. In 2022, I earned my Certified Financial Planner designation.

I am passionate about continuing to learn. I have taken courses on debt management, estate planning and recently became a Responsible Investment Specialist.

PERSONAL LIFE

Books, Bikes & Beaumont

My wife, my three daughters and I live in Beaumont. We chose to raise our family with our small town roots. Watching our children grow is a great joy and they keep us endlessly entertained with their many activities including choir, dance, soccer and swimming.

I love reading books of all types, from biographies to finances to fantasy and everything in between. I also love being physically active and competed in my first triathlon in 2018.

My goal with each meeting is to teach you something new to help you achieve your financial goals. I want you to understand the strengths and weaknesses of your options so you can make an informed decision.

With clients of all ages in urban and rural settings across the four western provinces, I understand there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to financial planning. Every client receives recommendations customized to their unique situation.
